My name is Michael Wiensczyk and I am a freelance concert photographer based out of Toronto, Canada. I’ve had a camera in my hands since I was a kid. My family was a Kodak family, my dad also worked at the Toronto plant. I even worked there as a technician repairing 30 Disk camera’s per day. In the mid 80’s I received a Ricoh XRP 35mm SLR as a birthday gift to replace all the Kodak instamatics that where around our house. No Auto Focus or instant Live View type features here, but an excellent camera to get my feet wet in photo chemicals, as it were.
I started getting a bit more passionate about photography and would sign up for photography night school classes semester after semester in order to get access to a darkroom. That was back in the early 1990’s. Today, I have the digital bug and Lightroom is my darkroom.
