One of the many festivals to grace this city is the Toronto Jazz festival. This year it started off with a unique opportunity to see one of the great’s, Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul, performing a free show at Metro Square to kick start the festival. Thousands attended, some lucky to be close up to the stage, others watching the performance on video screens. I was one of the lucky ones, here is a selection.
