Molly Hatchet live at The Rockpile East Nov 16th, 2013

We were ‘flirtin with disaster’ on this Saturday night in Scarborough a few week’s back, Molly Hatchet perfomed their second TO show at the recently opened Rockpile East (first one was at the Rockpile West in Etobicoke the night before).

I remember these guys from their amazing graphic art album covers back when I was into comics and graphic novels, but never went to any of their shows here. I’m not sure they even came here, but they have been extensively touring over the past few years and this time, I got my chance. Here is a select few from the full photo gallery.  Molly Hatchet full gallery.

These guys put on an amazing live rock show, great energy and great tunes!

Blues Rock, Hard Rock, Rock n Blues & Waterfront Blues

When things pickup, they really pickup! I’ve got a busy Blues week ahead. Starting with local hard-rock act Flux440 at the Birchmount this Friday, then on Saturday, I’ll be trekkin down to the infamous El Mocambo for the return of the Legendary band Moxy. I’m gonna try to see all this plus the Waterfront Blues Festival at Woodbine park (A free event), and even finish rebuilding my mothers backyard deck!!

Next week, on Thursday, Frank Cosentino will bring his blues-rock gang to Timothy’s on Brownsline. And to top the week off, Big Crush will be vying for the top spot in the Toronto Blues Society’s Talent Search on June 8th at Dominion on Queen East.

Hope to see some of you out and about supporting your local Blues, Rock and Festival scene, cheers!
