Blues Rock, Hard Rock, Rock n Blues & Waterfront Blues

When things pickup, they really pickup! I’ve got a busy Blues week ahead. Starting with local hard-rock act Flux440 at the Birchmount this Friday, then on Saturday, I’ll be trekkin down to the infamous El Mocambo for the return of the Legendary band Moxy. I’m gonna try to see all this plus the Waterfront Blues Festival at Woodbine park (A free event), and even finish rebuilding my mothers backyard deck!!

Next week, on Thursday, Frank Cosentino will bring his blues-rock gang to Timothy’s on Brownsline. And to top the week off, Big Crush will be vying for the top spot in the Toronto Blues Society’s Talent Search on June 8th at Dominion on Queen East.

Hope to see some of you out and about supporting your local Blues, Rock and Festival scene, cheers!

A selection of pix of the Toronto rock band Flux440 performing their blend of original and covers at one of the newer clubs to feature rock n roll played at suitable levels, ie Loud! Danny, Frank, Tom & Peter, all seasoned players with a ton of experience in the local Rock scene, blast out some great hard-rock standards, plus I heard they will be incorporating a few more original numbers into their set at the next show. Check their web site, link below, for more details.
