It’s always fun looking through images trying to compile a list of faves for any given time frame, really it is! These are some of my personal favourites, some previously published here on stratophotography.com, some that either slipped thru the cracks or were rejected for a technical reason, pictures that struck a nerve, or captured a unique moment, a smile, an emotion, a truly wild gesture.
They span quite a few different genre’s. I’ve got blues & jazz, indie pop, hard rock, folk, metal… in bars like the Horseshoe Tavern, Lee’s Palace and Monarch’s Pub, concert theatre’s like The Opera House, The Rockpile and outdoor festivals at City Hall, Woodbine Park and Kew Gardens BandShell.
Toronto and surrounding environs have copious amounts of live music for all to see and hear, every day of the week! I encourage you to get out and support live music, pick up a CD or t-shirt and don’t be worried about the resulting lack of sleep this entails.
2013 was a very busy year in my photo journey, sleep will come later, enjoy!
